A 30,000 square foot addition to the east side of the existing museum increased the interactive and assembly capacities of this Norwalk, CT childrens’ museum. Edward Stanley Engineers also designed the foundation for a fabric tent on the west side of the museum. The tensile tent structure exerted tremendous uplift and sliding forces on each cable anchorage. Some as much as 90,000 lb. of uplift. ESE specified deep grouted soil anchors to resist both of these component forces.
