Pedestrian Bridge, Madison, CT

Gray Organschi Architecture

Glued laminated timber bridge spans over a ravine and over a seasonal brook. Stainless steel rods were placed through the cross section at regular intervals to resist cross grain flexural stresses. The steel column bases are anchored to naturally occurring rock with custom threaded inserts embedded with adhesive.
